Be Careful What You Wish For (2019)

You hear strange whispers and other noises coming from a small, sealed-off door that you find. You can’t help your curiosity, so you break open the seal and crawl through. On the other side is a home, your home, but something is very off. You look around in confusion, and your heart drops to your stomach. You see a creature dressed in your mother’s clothing with buttons for eyes and dagger-shaped teeth. It comes closer and closer to you. Suddenly, you awaken on the other side of the door again. “Was this all a dream?” you ask yourself. However, this time when you look at the door, there’s blood all over it. What has happened?

Meraki the Phoenix created this look loosely based off Other Mother from the claymated movie Coraline. She made her own nose prosthetic using a combination of latex, cotton, and aluminum foil. The buttons and teeth were hand molded using polymorph plastic.
