One Summer Night (2019)

It’s summer and the Fourth of July. The atmosphere is uplifting and tender. You’re with your lover, enjoying the festivities, and things couldn’t feel more perfect. That is, until things go horribly wrong. There is a deafening noise and a blinding light. With a ringing in your ears, you begin to fight the disoriented sensation you are left with. “Where is my lover?” you frantically ask yourself. You see a figure in the field and are elated to see if it’s who you are searching for. It is! However, your lover slowly turns their head, and you see that half their face is missing, blown off.

Meraki the Phoenix completed this makeup look using liquid latex, cotton, string, clay, and water-based body paint.
